Architecture
Brett graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in architecture from the University of Arizona. He gained his experience in building design while working at architecture firms in Southern California and Arizona, after which he combined his two fields of knowledge to begin Brett Drury Architectural Photography, Inc. in 1994.
An associate member of the American Institute of Architects, Brett continues to actively participate in the design community through lectures, workshops, and philanthropic events.

Philosophy
Grounded in the language of architecture and design, Brett considers his photography to be effective if the viewer is impacted by the beauty of the subject being photographed rather than the image itself. The most successful architectural photograph should be, in effect, transparent.
His best piece of advice to anyone hiring a photographer? Cutting corners never succeeds, so always work with a professional who specializes in the particular subject being shot.
